MALINDA WALKER M.Ed, LAT, ATC

Malinda WalkerMalinda is co-founder of “Imagine Fitness” and currently serves as the Head of Program Development and Public Relations. She has worked in the  Sports Medicine field for the past nine years in a variety of settings. Over the years, she has developed and fine-tuned her skills while providing the highest quality of rehabilitative and health/fitness care to her clients. Some highlights from her professional experience includes:

  • Member of the Sports Medicine Team for the University of Wisconsin-Madison 1999 Rose Bowl Team and the 2000 WCHA Championship Men’s Hockey Team
  • Athletic Trainer for the 2001 and 2002 SEC West Championship Auburn University Women’s Soccer Team
  • Athletic Trainer for the University of Wisconsin-Madison Women’s Volleyball and Track & Field Teams
  • Athletic Trainer for DeForest, Middleton, and Oregon High Schools
  • Physician Extender for the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Sports Medicine Department

Primary Area of Expertise

I have had the opportunity to function as an athletic trainer in many settings. Prior to co-founding Imagine Fitness, I was an athletic trainer for Auburn University and The University of Wisconsin-Madison where I managed and facilitated medical care for a variety of varsity athletes. I have also worked as a “Physician Extender” for the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Sports Medicine Clinic where I assisted the orthopedic surgeons and primary care physicians in providing care to a large and varied population. I have provided fitness instruction and rehabilitative medical care across many populations including recreational adults, youth sports, high school, collegiate, semi-professional, and Olympic/elite athletes. I continue to enhance my skills through continuing

 education opportunities in both the fitness and sports medicine fields.

CHUCK WALKER M.A., LAT, ATC, CWT

Chuck WalkerChuck is co-founder of Imagine Fitness & Sports Medicine, Inc. and currently serves as the manager of day-to-day operations. He has spent the last twelve years working with a very diverse population. Chuck has worked at the youth, high school, collegiate, Olympic-elite, and professional levels in several sports as well as in the clinical rehabilitation setting functioning as a Certified Athletic Trainer. Some of his career highlights include;

  • Worked under the direction of one of the Boston Red Sox Orthopedic Surgeons
  • Athletic Trainer for The University of Arizona Track, Cross Country, Baseball, and Football teams
  • Athletic Trainer for Baseball and Football at Northwestern University
  • Athletic Trainer for Track, Cross Country, Golf, and Tennis at Auburn University
  • Traveling athletic trainer for the Pan American Champions USA Junior Olympic team in 2000
  • Chuck has cared for several Elite and Olympic-level athletes over the past 11 years.
  • Currently he is an athletic trainer for a local out-patient rehabilitation clinic in the greater Madison, Wisconsin area.
  • He has created and/or assisted in the development of several employee fitness programs including one of the local police department.
  • Chuck also is a group fitness instructor teaching classes such as kickboxing and cardio super circuits. 
  • Mr. Walker continues to write articles related to fitness, health, and wellness for local newspapers as well as speak at various functions throughout Southwest Wisconsin regarding health and fitness topics.
  • Chuck currently serves as a re-occuring special guest on the morning news program for WISC-TV in Madison, Wisconsin. He speaks on general fitness and injury prevention. You can catch Mr. Walker on air every other wednesday at approximately 6:45am. Or, you can click “Wednesday Workouts” and watch his segment online. Mr. Walker has several areas of interests within the fields of fitness and sports medicine. Some of those include;

  • agility and sport performance training
  • shoulder injuries and rehabilitationHe is currently a  S.P.A.R.Q. Trainer (www.sparqtraining.com) and can provide your athlete a complete evaluation for their sport.
